Carolyn Covington
Carolyn was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota.
While getting her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at the University of Minnesota, she studied abroad in Florence, Italy. That time abroad had a major impact on her life and her love for wine! She started to realize that wine wasn’t just a beverage, but a way of life, an art, and a connection for so many people.
She started The American Wine Girl™ in 2018 as a creative outlet and a way for her to share wine recommendations to her friends. Then she started her wine education courses through WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust), and completed levels 1-3 in a year.
Her goal is to educate those who wish to learn more about wine without the snobbery that is often associated with the wine industry. She also hopes to inspire people through travels and share lifestyle aspects of her daily life.
